This sailboat painting gives students a chance to make a reflection and try layering of color too regarding the background trees.1. Draw the boat and sails. Add a horizon line. Make some zig-zag lines for two layers of trees.
2. Trace all the lines with a black permanent marker.
3. Use a white crayon to draw waves and a reflection of the boat.
4. Paint the picture with watercolors. I used the Dick Blick Liquid brand for this sample.
