When I watch a fashion show, I often catch myself wondering what the pieces will look in real life, in a real honest-to-goodness store.  My optimistic nature is always hoping that the artistry captured on the runway will be translated to retail locations without losing their magical essence.

Take, for instance, Elie Saab's Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Paris Fashion Week.  This collection was the definition of elegance with its gorgeous lines, breezy whites, and artful sequins.  There is no doubt in my mind that these pieces were showstoppers, so how did they translate to real life?

Wonderfully!  Thanks to Moda Operandi, we've gotten to see a glimpse of these not-yet-in-store pieces and, let me tell you, they are as stunning as they were as they sashayed down the runway.  They still give off Elie Saab's signature air of aristocratic elegance and still look beautifully hand-crafted. The only difference between the runway and real life is that some of the colors are a bit off, but I attribute that mostly to the lighting at the runway show.  Sometimes a camera just doesn't pick up the right shade.

While Moda Operandi doesn't have the full Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2013 collection available, they have many more than I've shown here.  I encourage you all to visit their trunk show here to view their full selection.  And if you're feeling magical, pick up one of these beauties for yourself.
