Rumor: Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 to Launch Today?

Posted on the 15 October 2014 by Anna Peterson

We’ve been hearing rumors about the upcoming Nexus 9 tablet and the Nexus 6 smartphone for quite some time now, and the recent one suggests that both devices will be announced later today. Apparently, there won’t be a big launch event for these two – just an unveiling via a blog post.

Nexus 9 Tablet

According to the source of this info, Google did plan to hold an event for the Nexus 9 and Nexus 6, but decided against it, because there’s still work to be done on Android L. The report states that the Nexus 9 will become available for pre-order on October 17, and available for purchase on November 3. The 16GB version will cost $399, while the 32GB LTE one will be priced at $499. What’s new is that both devices will come with expandable storage – something that previous Nexus devices were in dire need of.

Other Nexus 9 (rumored) specs include an 8.9” display, a resolution of 2048 x 1440, a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 3-megapixel front-facing shooter, and Android L as its OS.

Until we have more details about the launch and the Nexus devices, we advise you to take this piece of info with a grain of salt.
