Fashion Magazine
Fashion designers are always collaborating with someone or another. For exampleConsuelo Castiglioni [Marni] designing a range for H&M, but fashion designers collaborating with Royal Mail... WHAT?! Yeah... I kinda thought what the fu*k when I saw it. I never thought we'd be sticking stamps on our packages with with illustrations of the worlds iconic fashion garments. The image above is one of Alexander McQueens duck feather dress from his Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 collection. This one is my favorite.
The extremely iconic Vivienne Westwood Harlequin outfit which we all know as the outfit Naomi Campbell modelled in 1993.The range of stamps include illustrations of work from Jean Muir's, Zandra Rhodes, Ossie Clark and other great British designers.
“British fashion has grown to become a major national industry. It employs about a million people and contributes directly some £21 billion to the UK economy. So it is an honor to be able to pay homage to some of the designers who made the industry what it is today.” Quote from Royal Mail's Stamps spokesman Philip Parker.
