This rooster drawing turned out pretty well in an oil pastel class awhile back, so I had my students try painting one with tempera paints the other day.
1. My step-by-step diagrams may be seen HERE.
2. Trace the drawing with a black Sharpie marker.
3. Paint the art with tempera paint cakes. For adding a feathery look, try using a little brown paint on a dry brush. My sample uses yellow, red, orange, blue and brown paints.
