Rooms With No Views

By Vsudarsan

Rooms with no views.. sounds quite boring right? Especially, after you got a sneak peek into some amazing rooms with views of oceans, forests, and cities in my recent blog posts. Well, it is actually possible to convert dark and dingy windowless basements to bright, warm and cozy ones. All you have to do is bring in the right design elements. The color, furniture, lighting and other accessories have to work towards creating a room with no view a happy place to hang out.

I've picked a few finished basements with some similarities for you here. There is a mix of lighting - both open and hidden are used to illuminate the room. Also, you will see a variety in lighting - floor, table, recess, and chandelier, as well as the ability to adjust the intensity of the bulbs. Mirrors, extra-large wall art, pop of colors, area rugs, open shelving, and built-in's are just a few other design aspects that are brightening up these rooms. I'm also noticing open floor plans created by sectionals compared to sofa and loveseat combinations. And, the seating seems extra comfortable where one can stretch. Some rooms have added a feature wall with bright wallpapers to create the extra warmth. With all these ideas, and some rooms here.. I hope to have inspired you today!
