Isn't it hard to imagine - 71 percent of the earth's surface is water-covered and it's mostly oceans! And, yet, not many of us are lucky enough to have an ocean view out our windows. There are days when I feel less connected to mother nature and have sought to a nearby lake or a bay to get my dose. I also strongly feel a room like this will simmer me down. The beautiful blue waters, random shadows, wave sounds and the gentle moment of waves are soothing enough to tranquilize me.
In these rooms, nothing else can be a better focal point than the ocean itself. It makes a designer's job easy - all one have to do is decorate around this magnificent view. Some commonalities I'm noticing among these rooms are - keeping the panoramic view open by not covering the windows with drapes, seating is facing the water, and the addition of nautical touch wherever possible. I bet the windows are not blocked to enjoy the sunrise and sunset every single day. The color schemes and the decor style didn't really matter as long as the focal point, which is the ocean is given enough importance. Well, with that said, scroll through and tell me if I'm right! Look forward to your comments.
