The aim for my room was to make it both cosy and modern. I love the country cottage ,new england style although I wanted my room to look vintage but not out of date.
I used lots of candles in different styles to create a cosy atmosphere. Here I placed tea lights on vintage style plates that were both shop bought and from a carboot sale for only 50p.
I collected a range of different items over many months ,I like the straight clean lines of this chalkboard and the contrast it has against the white wallpaper.
I used white wallpaper to brighten my room and to give the illusion of a bigger space. It also allowed me to use a range of pastel shades in the rest of my room.
Here's some of the ways I store my things. I use the tins for lip balms, samples etc..
I covered the head board myself with some fabric to match my room and then I add lots of cushions with various textures to create a relaxed feeling.
The jar in the background is what I use to store my spare tea lights ,although warning they did melt the other day due to the heat coming through the window.
Finally I also use washbags ,old glossybox boxes and shoes boxes to store things ,as storage is key to small rooms. Thank you x
