violin, roses, music

Valentine’s Day is almost here (tomorrow, if you haven’t bought anything yet)! Nothing sets the mood for romance quite like music. We recently asked our Facebook Fans for their ideas on the most romantic songs. We received over 100 answers in all sorts of genres. We can’t publish them all here but here’s a sampling of some of the diversity. Here’s hoping you find some favorites and some new songs to celebrate with tomorrow.

Unchained Melody – Righteous Brothers
I Love You Just the Way You Are – Billy Joel
Kingdom Come – Johnny Cash/Coldplay
My Funny Valentine – Ella Fitzgerald
Maybe I’m Amazed – Paul McCartney
Your Song – Elton John
Angel – Aerosmith
Stardust – Nat King Cole
I’ll Be Seeing You – Frank Sinatra
A Thousand Years – Christina Perri
Could I Have This Dance – Anne Murray
Indian Summer- The Doors
At Last – Etta James
Thank You – Led Zepplin
Waiting on a Friend – Rolling Stones
Closer – Nine Inch Nails
Tush – ZZ Top
Love Me Tender – Elvis Presley

Finally, the most intriguing answer we got was from one of our BellyDancers. She suggested Zay al Hawa (It Feels Like Love) by the Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez. The video is below, judge for yourself.
