ROGUE TROOPER #3 Review

Posted on the 22 April 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

Issue 3 of Rogue Trooper shows us a little bit more of why ol’ Blue is a bad a$$.  There is a team in search for the G.I.  Who will find who first?

We start out with a little background on Nu-Earth and then we jump into battle.  There is some new tech (to us) on the field  nicknamed Gundog’s.  The Rogue Trooper works his magic with his bio-chip enabled helmet, pack and gun.  The conversations he has with those things add life to the story.  After working on the Gundogs, the Rogue Trooper  wants to head back out in search for answers to why his squad was killed/murdered.  The crew he is with now is very appreciative of the help he has given them and is willing to keep his whereabouts under wraps.  As he is ready to head back out, the original team that was looking for him show up unannounced.  MAN DOWN!! MAN DOWN!!  How did this interaction go down?  There was a bit of back and forth between both parties but who is down is up to you to find out.

The futuristic/sci-fi/war feel to this series and book is interesting to me.  I think the story is moving well and is keeping me interested.  The action is good and has been consistent throughout the series thus far. I’m not exactly sure on how it is comparing with the original run back in the 80′s but Brian Ruckley is doing great in my opinion.  I look forward to series every month.
