Rochester Sunset [Sky Watch Friday]

It’s time to return home and again feature some of Rochester’s wonderful sites. The photo below appeared on the masthead of the local section in the Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester’s newspaper. So, I am extra proud of this image. On a daily basis, the paper posts a panorama submitted by a local photographer. The final image was created from six separate shots and joined by merging in Photoshop Elements v.8.Somewhere back in my blog archive are other sunset shots taken around the area. If you have the patience to look back, you’ll see that Western N.Y., while not necessarily rivaling the far west, certainly offers excellent opportunities for sunset shooting.
