The fourth week into a new year – all the hopes and dreams are now in the place of doing rather than anticipating. We’re putting in the miles on this road trip –
Do you remember going on a road trip sometime in your life – planning it, thinking about it, getting excited about the places you’ll see and what you’ll do?
Then you get in the car to go and the miles stretch ahead – some of the scenery is flat or boring or even ugly and you know that it’s just a part of the deal to get to the destination. This is when we can either complain about it or think to ourselves – this is it – this is the road trip and you can enjoy it, and know that all the miles are the trip – it’s the journey you are taking and not simply the end spot.
Do the things that are now in the middle – the routine, plain or even ugly things that make your trip worthwhile and take you to the places you really want to go – and of course it’s up to you whether you enjoy it or not. But why not enjoy it?
You create your day by the way you think – Make it magnificent!
