Back in October, the Swiss chemist Hans Primas died. Primas’s work included the consideration of ‘philosophical’ problems, such as the measurement problem in quantum mechanics and the question of reductionism. Primas was professor emeritus at the ETH in Zurich. For more information, see his Wikipedia entry, which, unfortunately, only seems to be available in German.
I hope that this will be the last death that I have to announce for a long period!
