Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation - RRP £7.99 at Superdrug.
I'm always on the hunt for the perfect 'drugstore' foundation and I know I'm not alone. When my HG foundation, Clarin's Everlasting ran out, I didn't have the budget to repurchase it as Sienna was only a week or two old! I went on the hunt for a great foundation in Superdrug one Saturday and came out with this one. I didn't chose this willie nillie though, I had researched & was in there for nearly an hour and left with a million swatch on my neck and hands.
It got a it over whelming towards the end but I had heard this Rimmel one was good & it seemed great from the swatch; great colour, texture and coverage. In fact, this is a very good dupe for my Clarin's so it was a brilliant pick and I will definitely be repurchasing it! This bottle has lasted me for ages as I do have to mix it with a darker one when I fake tan which is a lot of the time, haha! But I love the tone of this color and is perfect when I'm a bit paler.
The coverage is medium and very buildable, it doesn't look cakey at all, it's a nice dewy finish but sets well with powder if you have oilier skin like me. It doesn't live up to the 25 hour claims but what foundation does? That is the only major difference between this and my Clarin's Everlasting; the staying power isn't as great but for the price you can't expect it too. You can also feel it on the skin if you don't powder it, that slightly tacky texture.
I had reservations about this because it has a strong fragrance like most more affordable foundations and I thought it would break me out but it hasn't which I'm pleased to say! If you like a medium-full coverage and are quite yellow toned, this foundation is worth a go! I hope you love it as much as I do :)
