Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer in Celestial, £5.99
Hello blogger bandwagon, I'm jumping back on already! Today I'm reviewing the new Rimmel Apocalips which I knew I had to have after first hearing about them. Firstly I just love the name and I'm one of those people who is easily drawn to a clever play on words or pretty looking packaging so I was pretty much sold on these products from the get-go. I went with the shade Celestial which I'd describe as a glossy dusty pink color as I'm not the most adventurous with lip color and thought that the pink would be well within my comfort zone, also making it perfect for everyday use as it's certainly not too in your face. The formula of this lipgloss lipstick hybrid was definitely the most impressive part as it is so pigmented and gives you opaque color with very little effort or application required. It gives you a glossy finish without leaving your lips feeling sticky which is also a huge bonus for me as I detest hair sticking to my lips on windy days, and god knows we've had plenty of them lately here in Scotland! I find that the color lasts for a few hours before fading to a light stain which I like as it still leaves you with a lovely 'your lips but better' color later on in the day. The only thing I didn't like about this product was unfortunately the smell as I found the melon scent quite overpowering, but thankfully it is only really visible when you first apply and quickly disappears. All in all I'm so impressed with the Rimmel Apocalips and am already eyeing up a few other shades from the eight in the range. You can find the lip laquers in both Boots and Superdrug for £5.99, with Boots currently have a 3 for 2 promotion which is definitely perfect timing!
