Reviving the Essence of Passion in Love.

By Shivam Ralli @shivamralli167
A relationship is like a boat in an ocean. It depends on the mood of the lovers on how the boat sails. Both can control the weather and both can control the ship. But, it the passion in a relationship which has to be kept alive.
“My life had been going down a tumble. I could feel the passion in our love slipping away. I, well, I am Madhav, and I love Sana. She is the love of my life. But recently, work pressure had been drifting both of us apart. I could feel the difference. Love became just a word and not a feeling.I still remember the  rift that had been created between  us. We used to say I love you to each other every morning before going to our respected jobs and when we came back,  we would discuss our day over the meal and sleep.  This monotonous time line had become our relationship,  our life.
This, I knew would go on for a few more days.  And as I had thought, the inevitable had happened.  These words chilled my heart. If I remember correctly,  this was was she said.
"Madhav, I can't take this anymore.  I don't feel the strong connection we had anymore.  I feel as of have been thrown away by you.  I feel it's time we left this relationship. I am sick of it. "
Now who wouldn't be shocked by these words?  I was. And then a brilliant idea struck me.  I asked her for one day.  She relented seeing the relationship we had and agreed to give me single day.
We left for our offices.  But,  I didn't go there.  I went to a push diner and booked a table for two.  Then I went to my house, wrote two letters on how we had been drifted apart and a note saying to meet me at the diner at 8 pm.
Near 6 pm I changed into a tuxedo and went out.  I bought some flowers.  Went to the diner,  ordered some champagne and lighted two candles on my table.  It was nearly 8 when I was finished with what I had planned.
It was 15 minutes past 8 when Sana  arrived.  She looked as if she had recently been crying.  But when her eyes locked with mine.  She smiled.  I felt my hopes lift up a little.  She came and sat with me.  Then the words came tumbling out of my mouth before she could say anything.  "I love you Sana. I have found what made our relationship go stale.  The reason is me. I plead desperately to try once again.  "I held her hands while saying this.  Oh god,  I can still remember the touch and smoothness of her hands.  Her silky touch from one finger on my face.  And then she replied. A reply which made me reform my life.  " Madhav,  calm down.  Okay?  I read your letters and I thought of this the whole day.  Life will throw problems at us.  And I want you to be at my side when it throws these problems.  Why?  Because you are my anchor in this world.  And I would never want to lose my anchor. " Those words rekindled our relationship.  We then went for a walk in the streets holding hands and hugging each other from time to time.  We had discovered the love and passion we had again. Sana has broken up, kudos for reading my memory."
