Reviews of Reviews: The Week of September 10th 2012 – Note the New Omission of Details on Mediocre Reviews*.

Monday-Tuesday, in A Nous Paris, Jerome Berger gave 4/5 dots (wow) to Abri, 92, rue du Faubourg Poissoniere in the 10th, 01.83.97.00.00, (Metro : Poissoniere), with a 22 E lunch menu with 2 entrees, fish or meat and dessert and 38.50 E at dinner for items such as marinated mackerel, daurade and fig clafoutis ; Philippe Toinard, meanwhile, went to the 2/5 dot Drugstore Steakhouse at the Drugstore Publicis, coordinates given before where he sampled meat from the non-mediatique butchers in Paris and a Paris-Brest.  And in case anyone wants know more about the new Ma Cocotte in the Saint-Ouen flea market opening in October, check out Sophie Peyrad’s article on their website.

Tuesday in Le Fooding, Julie Gerbert reviewed Colorova, 47, rue de l'Abbé Grégoire in the 6th, 01.45.44.67.56,  where they serve principally brunch but also “thé, patisseries, tartes, salades, soupes, smoothies” for 16-35 € from 10 AM (or 11 on weekends) until 7 PM, closed Mondays.

On Wednesday in Figaroscope’s « Nouveauties A La Carte » Emmanuel Rubin gave two hearts each to the Italian Clandestino in the 12th and Au Rendez-vous des Camionneurs, 72, quai des Orfevres in the 1st, 01.43.29.78.81, open 7/7, running one 40-50 E for items such as a sardine tartelette, veal tartare and lieu jaune.  He awarded just one heart to Le Petit Marguery Rive Droite in the 17th (in the old Galvacher space), the Italian Petit Italien in the 3rd and the Thai Kapunka in the 2nd.

The Dossier today by Colette Monsat, Alice Bosio and Hugo de Saint-Phalle covered places the guest editor of this issue, Florence Foresti, likes and they included :

La Briciola
And Francois Simon went to her favorite market – Le Marche des Enfants Rouges in the 3rd where he pastilla and tomato salad from the Moroccan stand for 11.60 E.  Go ?  « Bof de bof. » 

In L’Express, Audrey Parfait et Anne-Laure Pham described the comings and goings of chefs ; In Paris Toshitaka Omiya has come to L'Agapé,  Nicolas le Bec has gone to Shanghai  (leaving 4+ million in debt), Anne-Sophie Pic came to Paris and Jean Michel Lorain rejoins "la bande à Boco" in Paris. 

Saturday, in Figaro, Francois Simon published an article on Anne-Sophie Pic’s new Paris restaurant and a Croque-Notes about Guy Martin Italia.
