Monday-Tuesday, in A Nous Paris, Philippe Toinard reviewed and gave 3/5 to the well-known Le Timbre in the 6th, which Chris Wright has turned over to two French owners serving cepes, duck breast and chocolate dessert for 26 at lunch and 34, 41 and 49 E at dinner except Sunday and Monday; while Jerome Berger gave 3/5 to the aforementioned Comptoir Canailles in the 9th. Ordinarily I don’t give home-eating information but Alexis Chenu gave an interesting list this week, all of which have websites from which to order:

Tuesday in Le Fooding, Julie Gerbert reviewed the Mediterranean sandwicherie/saladerie Bagnard in the 2nd.
Wednesday in Figaroscope, in Emmanuel Rubin’s Hache Menu he reviewed the well-known Train Bleu; elsewhere a reader, Nadine, reported that the new Le Timbre team put out food that merited 4 hearts. M. Rubin then reviewed his 5 new places, awarding 3 hearts to the Peruvian/South American restaurant L’1K in the 1K hotel in the 3rd and a 2-heart Thai place, Thiou in the 7th. 1-heart each went to the aforementioned taco place, Luz Verde in the 9th and the Pancake Sisters in the 10th. Finally he gave a busted heart to the bar, night-spot Maria Magdalena in the 9th which has pricey prices.
The Dossier by Colette Monsat, Alice Bosio, and Hugo de Saint-Phalle concerned rice in all its presentations at:
The Caffe Stern (risotto)
