My joy knew no bounds when I got the Arty and Classy eyeshadow palettes which was released for Fall 2013 by the house of Yves Saint Laurent. The 'Pure Chromatics' eyeshadows have been one of the highest performance eyeshadows I have ever owned and albeit certain colors I have used like the gold ones which tend to look a bit muddy. So the classy palette is actually very classy with the most beautiful and scintillating neutrals paired with a very shimmery gun metal silver. Let's get to know a lot more about it.......
PACKAGING

These elegantly urban cases are an essential accessory for Autumn-Winter 2013/2014. CITY DRIVE Classy From the 127th floor of the Dubai tower to the roof of a Manhattan skyscraper, champagne, marble, concrete and steel set the tone for the Classy palette. A harmony of natural yet always contemporary shades to release urban chic, by day or night.
YSL could boast one of the most beautiful packaging. The color of the sun actually. The outside casing is a shiny golden box with all the needed details encasing a golden square shaped clam shell design container having these fantastic eyeshadows.
The metal case has the most incredible design. YSL is embossed with a black paint in between the letters. In the Arty palette the black is replaced by fuchsia. Its so classy as it says - Its Parisian Chic.....When opened there are 4 eyeshadows and 2 applicators which are quite user friendly. Btw it was so difficult to capture this picture with a flash so I took the image without a flash and then edited it.
FORMULA
Just like its other friends, Pure chromatics colors can be used Wet and Dry. Since the eyeshadows are manufactured with water as the main content (which is evaporated after filling each individual tray with eyeshadow), these eyeshadows metamorphose into this fabulous long lasting cream to powder eyeshadows with the highest metallic impact ever when water is added to it. When dry, the eyeshadows have a pixie dust like effect and when wet, the impact is fabulous and metallic.There is no fragrance in the eyeshadows btw.

I can't say whether it is available or not. For 3 gms, its priced at 4200. I know its very expensive but its a piece de resistance if you are a collector of beautiful products (and a user too).
