Urban Decay's Naked Basics, RM98, Sephora
From left to right: Venus, Foxy, Walk of Shame, Naked 2, Faint, Crave

This is a well worth eye-shadow palette if you are into the nudes. I find it convenient for me since I would usually reach for the nudes. Nowadays, I go for an easy smokey look which is presentable for work. The matte eye-shadows are plus too for this palette. If you'd like to transform your look from day to night, the darkest colour, Crave, could be use to intensify your look. I know how most readers would expect swatches but I won't include it here since Estee of EssieButton has uploaded it on her blog although I would advise you to imagine the colours being slightly lighter than in the photo.
I was told at the Sephora counter, I wouldn't need to apply an eye-shadow primer before applying the eye-shadows. I disagree. I find that I need to apply an eye primer in order for the colours to pop-out. The girl at the counter also told me that the Naked Basics has a creamier texture hence the reason why it doesn't need a primer. I can't compare it to the other eye-shadows I own since they aren't comparable to this palette but what I do know is, I need an eye primer. Hahahaha. The eye-shadows are pigmented but I find that I need an eye primer to make it last on the lid. Just a reminder, the skin on your hands and your eyelids are a different texture. It could look as though it is so pigmented on your hand than on your eyelids.
This palette is convenient if you are always on the go and need a basic eye-shadow palette with you. The size is great for travel. This palette fits inside my make-up bag! The packaging has a matte texture. Goes well with the theme. I find the typography on the palette creative. Interesting fit of typography.
Comparing to the other naked palettes, for 6 colours, RM98 is worth it considering you are paying for the quality, and the numbers of eye-shadows. If you are into matte eye-shadows, this palette is a good investment but if you'd like a bit of shimmer, the Naked 2 Palette should be a better purchase. Why? 12 eye-shadows plus a brush and lip-gloss, you pay RM181. I find it cheaper than the Naked Basics.
Which one would you prefer? The Naked 1/2 or the Naked Basics?
