Review: ROBOCOP BETA One-Shot from Boom!

Posted on the 25 February 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

We all know the story of Alex Murphy, the first successful combination of human and machine.  He was the first “successful” combination, but what about the unsuccessful ones?

Writer Ed Brisson takes us back to the early days of the Robocop program, to the first prototype.  Private Joshua Duncan is that prototype.  He was killed in action and awakes half man, half machine with few memories.  What happens when that man starts to remember and he turns out to not be everything he seems?

This one-shot is a great, timely addition to go along with the new Robocop movie currently in theaters.  It tells a self contained story that gives us a bit more of the untold history of how Robocop came to be and is an easy buy for any fan.
