Review : MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Layin' LowMAC Paint pots are one of the most consistent products in my bridal as well as blog kit. I prefer to lay it over a nice eyeshadow primer so that eyeshadow holds on very well to the skin. When I heard about Pro Longwear paint pots, I was very happy as this is one product that I looked at.Lets have a look at what is the Paint Pot about..........MAC says..........
A highly pigmented eye color that goes on creamy but dries to an intense vibrant finish. Long wearing colorfast. Create seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream based. Can be mixed with MAC shadows and liners.
PACKAGING
Pro Longwear paint pot comes in a lovely jar with a tightly fitting lid and this is one reason it stays the same creamy consistency it is. The jar is made of thick glass and I think they pour the formula in it, till it reaches the brim.
FORMULA
Review : MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Layin' Low
Compared with the legendary MAC paint pots like Painterly, the formula of the Pro Longwear paint pots is much more softer, resilient and glides in much smoother manner without drying in between blending. This does not mean that you can apply it with your own time. It does dry down completely into a matte texture within 60 secs. I prefer applying Pro Longwear paint pot on the lids with my fingers as the heat melts down the formula and it glides easily. You can also use a MAC 217 or any creamy eyeshadow brush to apply the paint pot but it does not spread evenly the way it does with fingers.
COLOR
Review : MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Layin' Low
Layin' Low is a soft matte creamy-beige color with subtle peach undertones. It seems to correct the lid color which is fabulous. Its not as pink as Painterly (which as a smidgen) so its nice. This is a good base for other eyeshadows to stick on better. I even found the eye pencil to glide better and smudge easily over the paint pot to create soft and nicely defined eyes.

In this look I have paired the Guerlain Two Extravagant with MAC Paint pot in Layin' Low. It gives me the most amazing flesh colored lid to create that sheer translucency effect with my eyeshadows.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
I got mine from the Phoenix Market City, Kurla for 1450 INR for 5 gms. Its a steal and a fabulous product that is worth trying.
Do let me know how you felt about the MAC Pro Longwear paint pot in the comments.
Till then,
