I was graciously offered the opportunity to review Clip in Irresistible Me #hair #extensions from the Silky Touch category of the brand. I perused the brand’s site and had a challenge deciding what color or length would work best for me as I hadn’t a prior experience with shopping Remy Hair online and there were 13 shades to choose from!
So, I contacted customer care and I was given very helpful insights; even a video to show me how to make the best hair extension choices in terms of color, weight and length.If you’re not familiar with Remy hair, it is the highest grade of real human hair used in extensions. It is considered high quality because the hair cuticles are still intact and every strand of hair is aligned in one direction. This preserves the silkiness and softness of the hair and ensures the hair does not tangle throughout its lifetime.During the helpful decision making pre-purchase conversations I was informed that the weight (100g, 140g, 200g) referred to the total weight of the hair without the clips attached and that the thickness of the hair is relative to both the weight and the length, i.e, a 14inch 200g piece would look thicker than 24 inch 200g. In the end I chose 16 inch, 140g of Medium Brown shade because I wanted something longer than the extensions I have without sacrificing thickness.
When I received the package I instantly adored the classic simple packaging and the words written on the inside. You know I love a play of words. I took the hair out of the resealable and obviously reuseable bag and felt the silkiness of the extensions, and then I laid it out and counted a total eight strands, including the test strands in the mini compartment of the transparent pouch. Now, note that the large compartment comes sealed so the hair in the small compartment is intended to give you a feel of the extension without having to break the seal in case you feel like returning or exchanging it.
