Hey loves!
So today I’ll give you a quick review on the much raved Champagne Pop, Becca highlighter. This is a limited edition highlighter that was made by Becca cosmetics with the collaboration of the famous youtube beauty guru, Jaclyn Hill.
Price of Champagne Pop: $38 USD for 28 ounces.
Packaging:
- The highlighter comes inside a champagne coloured box with wet droplets and has Jaclyn Hill’s signature on the front and back
- On the back of the box, there is a mini introduction by Jaclyn Hill about Champagne Pop and a picture of her
- Champagne Pop comes in the same compacts like all the other Becca highlighters.
- …This is a little bit surprising to me (just a little), since Champagne Pop is a limited edition item and usually these kind of packaging tends to be a bit different from what is already seen. However, that’s not too big of an issue! lol
Product:
- Description of color on the box is accurate
- Really pigmented!
- You do not need a lot – a little goes a long way and you can build it up to achieve a more dramatic look
- Long lasting
- Same formula as all the other highlighters
- Versatile!
- …It will work on a variety of different skin tones. I have tried it on a few friends and it looked fabulous on them.
Downfall:
I personally did not have this happen to me because I try to be a little bit more careful with compact products, however, I did have a friend who’s
highlighter cracked/broke. So I definitely do not recommend carrying this around in your purse or being rough with them since they do tend to be a little fragile. This is kind of a downfall since this highlighter is on the expensive side and it’s kind of disappointing when you lose products this way.
How Champagne Pop looks on a few different skin tones?
Comparison of Champagne Pop with other Becca highlighters (Opal & Moonstone):
Do you need this?!
If you are a makeup artist, a major beauty addict, collect lots of makeup, or do not own any Becca highlighters …then you can definitely go on and purchase this! Becca highlighters are amazing! So if you don’t have a Becca highlighter, definitely get your hands on this bad boy right here! lol
However, if you already have highlighters that are somewhat peachy/golden/champagne in colours… then this is definitely not something that I would say is necessary for you to purchase. You can always find a way to mix colours and make your own kind of color that you like.
My overall impression:
This isn’t really a super unique colour, but I still love it, as I am a makeup junkie. It definitely looks a lot more peachy on the pan than when you go to apply it on your cheekbones. Jaclyn Hill did mention that she wanted to make something that will cater to a huge range of skin tones. I personally think she did achieve this.
I hope you liked this quick review! May your cheeks forever be on fleek!
Xoxo – S!
