Anyway, if you're like me then you are a die-hard waterproof mascara fan. The downside is, I often find that my favorite mascara formulas (and if you follow my blog you know all about my crazy ongoing mascara saga) are never waterproof. It's strange, but it just seems to always be this way! Ironically, Anastasia has come up with a product that is perfect for someone like me that wants to wear waterproof mascara on a daily basis, but doesn't want to have to choose specific formulas because of it. Enter ... Anastasia Lash Genius!
According to Anastasia, this tube contains a waterproof top coat that can be placed over your existing mascara, sealing it off so you won't have to deal with mascara smudging or running. I wondered when I received this if it would live up to both of those claims. I'm happy to say, it did!
Application
Applying this was a simple as putting on another coat of mascara, though this is clear and not tinted. I brushed this over my existing mascara (and I even tried it over Too Faced Better than False Lashes Lash Extension system) and it worked beautifully! No smudging (the one area on my face that has a teeny bit of oiliness to it is my eye area) and no running. While I didn't sit out in a torrential downpour, I did go about my day the same as I would had I put on waterproof mascara and didn't see any issues.

Final Thoughts
I am very impressed with this and it's definitely a must in my book. As you all know, I hate my natural lashes so I practically make a career out of buying falsies and scouting out the newest, greatest mascaras. The problem is, I am absolutely 100% opposed to wearing mascara that is not waterproof. I live in New England, after all. You never know what the weather will bring and we get plenty of weather! This means I can now check out non-waterproof formulas without worrying. It's kind of funny, something so "common sense" is actually incredibly innovative at the same time. If you're like me and you refuse to leave the house without waterproofing your mascara definitely check this out.
