Do you guys remember when I made these: DIY MAKEUP STORAGE
I thought I’d give you an update on how they’re working for me! I made the boxes back in March of this year and I have to say they’re holding up pretty well considering I made them of old boxes and sellotape!
After a month of using them I rearranged the way I had put all my makeup in them as it wasn’t as easy to grab things as I thought. I’ll admit it’s not the most organised storage solution you’ll ever see but it does work for me! And you’ll now notice that I no longer have my powders, blushers and bronzers in there – they are now stuck to this board:
To be honest, this isn’t working as well as I’d hoped. I got the white board from my local Range and it’s a bit of a funny size – I have a couple more bronzers but they won’t fit on there.. I’m going to have to get a bigger one I think. And I need to find a better way to stick the magnets onto the back of the pots – I’ve tried blu tack and double sided sticky tape but they’re not strong enough. I would use super glue but I’ll probably think of another way to store them and then I won’t be able to take the magnets off!
If anyone stores they’re powders in a way they think would work for me then let me know! I’m always thinking of ways to make things easier. Just remember I’m on a budget!
