New Order has been releasing albums since the 80′s but have struggled taking a top place on Billboard’s Hot 100 throughout their career. You may not know this song, but maybe you recognize another song they’re much more popular for (through radio play) – Bizarre Love Triangle. Sound familiar? Today’s song choice came seven years later…
Regret was released in April of 1993 from the album, Republic. Music producer Stephen Hague is credited as both the producer and co-writer for the album.
It went #4 on the UK charts and #28 in the US, making it their highest charting single to date. However, it did manage to take the #1 place on Hot Dance Club Play & Modern Rock Tracks.
In 2010, Pitchfork media voted the song #34 on their Top 200 tracks of the 90′s.
