REESE RAVES: May

REESE RAVES: May

OK. I didn’t post an April favourites last month. But to be honest, I didn’t really have anything I overly loved AND I’ve been trying to spend less and use up the products I already had.

This month though, I made a point to have May favourites because I don’t want to get into the habit of forgetting. As you already tell, ROSES is the general theme this month. So, here are the things I loved…

REESE RAVES: May
Go-To Properly Clean Cleanser, $29.95 (150mL)
This is my favorite product this month because I’m just so impressed with it. I did a product review on this product last month and got the most hits on it on this blog.
Lately I’ve been using a balm to removed my makeup lately, but just to prove a point at how good this product really us, I’ve taken off a full face of makeup with it effortlessly. It doesn’t sting the eyes, very gentle on the skin and it definitely doesn’t dry the skin or strip it. Definitely going to repurchase and I highly recommend it.
Available from Go-ToSkincare.com.au.

Diptyque Room Spray in ‘Roses’, $78.00 (150mL)
I know that some people think that rose scented things smell like and remind them of old ladies, but I’ve been absolutely loving the scent of roses, whether it be from the actual flower or in a spray. I find it refreshing, feminine and having roses in my home has always made it feel extra homey.
I’ve been spraying this mainly on the bed sheets so we literally do wake up and smell the roses. I find that because it’s extra strong, it sticks to my skin, which I don’t mind.
Available from MeccaCosmetica.com.au and Mecca Cosmetica stores and counters.

Echolife Rose Rejuvenating Facial Mist, $19.90 (250mL)
This is one of two rose facial mists I’ve been loving this month. I like this version because it’s a lot lighter on the skin that the second on I’ve mentioned this month. It’s got a sweeter scent than the other and is also a lot cheaper than the other. This one I use to refresh the face during the day over my makeup and awaken my skin. It really does work.
Available from EchoLife.com.au with FREE shipping within Australia.

KORA Organics Balancing Rose Mist, $39.95 (65mL)
Now, this is my other favorite facial mist. I find that this is a lot more richer than the other and usually only apply it at the beginning of the day, before I start doing my makeup in the morning. It very hydrating and wakes up the skin first thing in the morning, but best to use sparingly. I know there aren’t many people who like the scent, but I do.
Available from KORAOrganic.com, David Jones and some health stores.

Essence Studio Nails XXL Nail Thickener, $2.95
I’m constantly being impressed by Essence products and I thought I’d give their nail products a go since I rave about their eyeliner and mascara.
Other than nail strengthener (which Essence also makes) I apply this product just before a coat of nailpolish. It leaves a clean fresh base for nailpolish and I find that it does thicken the nail. Plus, it’s so cheap!
Available from Essence stands in Priceline and Target.

Face of Australia Screen Siren Nail Enamel (LE), $4.95 each
The Screen Sirens collection was released back in March and of course, the day of the release I went out and bought all seven shades as well as the matte top coat. The thing I love the most about these polishes is that they’re super glossy, even without a topcoat. They’re pretty opaque, even with one coat (I’ve always applied two) and they’re not at all streaky. They’re limited edition so better get your paws on them ASAP!
Available from Priceline and anywhere that sells Face of Australia.

Lime Crime Pink Velvet Velvetine, $24.00
Lime Crime is one of those brands that I have a love/hate relationship and it’s got nothing to do with the products themselves but with the CEO and founder, Doe Deere. Besides that, I’ve been loving the Pink Velvet Velvetine. I’ve been hanging out for this product they launched the Red Velvet, saying if they ever released a pink version I was going to stay up to buy the first one.
This has been my most reached for lip product but only because I’ve been too lazy to put lip liner on. With this, you don’t need to because it stays put and doesn’t feather.
I bought mine from HubMakeup.com.au.
