When I was obsessing over the amazing return to form by La Roux, I was checking out the current UK Top 40 and noticed quite a number of fiery and fabulous red heads gracing the top end of the charts. I know it is a bit of a superficial basis for a playlist, but when you are fierce and fabulous and have the talent to boot, there are some cracking chart hits like Paloma Faith’s guest vocals on Sigma’s new release and Jess Glynne’s 90s inspired “Right Here”. I have included Rhianna’s Only Girl (In The World) recorded during her red-hair phase… as it is my all time favorite Rhianna song and more than a perfect way to round up the Red Hot Friday Playlist.
