Reality… It’s Not a Bad Place to Be Mr. Waistline!

reality… it’s not a bad place to be mr. waistline!

Lately I’ve been looking at things a lot more realistically. Here’s the facts…

  • I’m a 5 foot 10 inch beauty!
    ;-)
  • I’m packed with muscles (sexy)

  • I love cookies (way more than my waistline… healthy!!)

  • and I like working out when I want to workout
    :-D

I used to have really bad body image issues because I looked at all my friends (who were a million inches shorter than me) and wanted to wear size 7 jeans and small tees. I looked at actresses like Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Alba and thought I’ll run enough miles to have her legs, or do enough crunches to have those abs… But it’s not who I am!!! I’m just not built to be that way (reality smack in the face…).

I’ve spent more than 3/4ths of my life playing sports so I’m muscly and I LOVE IT! I’m never going to fit into size 7 jeans… even if I’m 145 pounds. It’s just not going to happen. I’m tall so me wearing a size large tee doesn’t mean I need to drop a few lb’s, my large is like a short person’s small.

I spent my fair share of days forcing myself to workout. Basketball practices are 2-3 hours of pure hell and I’ve pushed myself farther than I ever thought I could. I don’t need to do that anymore! If I feel like working out then I’ll workout and if I don’t then maybe I’ll watch tv and eat a cookie… it’s not a crime against nature or anything.

;-)
