We were out of town for a long weekend, but I got in a little walking and did some stretches in the hot tub. I’m only twenty minutes behind pace to reach 1400 minutes by the end of the month. Not bad for mid-month, I’m thinking.
For the 12 K Challenge at Team Kickin It, I’ve been aiming for two workouts a week this month. My Tuesday workout is 4K total with the two middle kilometers done as HIIT. My Thursay workout is 2K on the treadmill — that’s the workout that will eventually get to 12K if all goes as planned.
With a weird week planned, I went ahead and did my HIIT workout yesterday and it went well. I have my speed up to what it was last month when I was only doing 1K of HIIT. Next week, I hope to nudge the speed up a bit further. Mind you, a trainer would laugh at what I’m calling High Intensity. But that’s why I don’t have a trainer. I know that I can make excellent progress with my fitness, and have no injuries, as long as I do things gently and gradually. It’s when I get in too much of a hurry that I get in trouble.
How is your March shaping up? Are you ready to go out like a lion? ROAR!
