Not too many happy people in Nashville these days. Scarlett's not into fame, fortune, pretty clothes and pampering. Peggy's NOT preggers and Maddie's so upset that Peggy's wearing grandma's ring that she ran away to the Delta station, took her shoes off and called Juliette Barns to come get her. Who knew Juliette would be the good guy here? Deacon's always miserable and I really don't like him with that lawyer at all. Tandy's thinking Daddy had something to do with Rayna and her Mom's death. Rayna's dealing with having Shania Twain Syndrome (STS) and everyone else's issues. Will & Gunnar are battling over Will's song. With Rayna out of the tour, Laila's in, poor girl. Just wait til Juliette gets done with her. So it's a bit stressful for everyone these days in Nashville. How beautiful were Rayna's daughters singing together? That's gotta make Rayna feel good, but it was a painful reminder that she needs some throat lozenges and therapy. I loved Rayna's blue tie dye gown...perfect for the symphony. Just thought I'd mention it.Back in the Game
Not much to write...The Cannon gave Danny some good/bad advice. The girls like the bad boy. Credit to Griffin Gluck, the kid in the show who plays Danny. He did make a good bad boy and got the girl and then lost the girl. Great advice which worked... and then didn't . Terry went out and got wasted. Still a cute show.Modern Family
The Pritchett's, the Dunphy's and the Pritchett/Tuckers' were all getting ready for dinner together. That was the entire show. A bit Seinfeldian, and it worked for me. Small moments...wine in the Mom mug, Phil's way-too-tight suit, coke shaken not stirred, Midnight Train To Georgia karaoke-Part 1, Luke paintballing his Mom and Midnight Train to Georgia-Part 2...the train Jay would never make unless he told Gloria it was leaving at 11. Loved this episode.Survivor
The crazy tribal council from last week was all the talk at the beginning of this weeks episode of Survivor. Definitely made Caleb a force in the game and a man that can't be trusted. Right away we had John, Candice and Brad competing to stay in the game over on Redemption Island. Shockingly, it was Candice who lost the duel and was sent packing. John offered up the clue to Monica, Brad's wife, but she, again, threw it in the fire. A big F U to John...again. Back at camp we got some great shots of every one's disgusting feet, bug bites, puss filled wounds and poor Katie's disappearing toenails. Putting on a wet shoe must be just awful for her. Rupert's wife was on the outs in her camp. People just find her annoying, so when Tadhana won their first immunity/steak challenge on the Kamikaze slide I used to go down at Action Park (now I'm REALLY dating myself) it would have been super simple to just vote her out. Jeff sure made her feel like crap at tribal about NOT being Rupert. She had to want to punch him for that. But it was Aras who came up with this weeks great idea. Send Laura M. to Redemption Island to knock off Brad which would make Monica a huge asset. Pretty good thinking and that's exactly what happened. I bet Rupert's wife is doin a jig right now. She just got another 3 days.NEWS & INFORMATION
-For anyone who's a South Park fan, ya gotta love that this weeks episode didn't air because the guys just didn't make their deadline. Pure and simple. With the all the fun reruns, I'm not sure why it was so necessary to make this information public. Fans would have probably been okay with that. There really are no secrets anymore huh?
-Olivia Pope aka Kerry Washington, will be hosting SNL in a couple of weeks on November 2nd. It's going to be her first time on the show, but you can SO see the Scandal skit. Hope they do it justice. Also on that night, Eminem will be performing. Could be interesting to get those two in a skit together. Eminem could be Huck. That would be funny, they do make a lot of the same faces.
-I loved Breaking Bad just as much as anyone, but live streaming a funeral for Walter White? Really? I know I watch a lot of stuff, but a funeral for a fake character? Nahhhh
-There's a TON on TV tonight, but for anyone who loves Downton Abbey or The White Queen or cute girls and hot guys, I strongly recommend Reign on the CW. It was my favorite pilot this year. Check it out and let me know what you think. Betting you love it.
