Ranbir Kapoor wants to play villain role
The wish of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor to play a villain makes everyone surprised.
Ranbir says he wants to retreat from his chocolate boy image after several romantic movies including Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab and Kahani Bachna Ae Haseeno and play a negative role on-screen.
“I want to play the role of a villain. I like Mogambo. There is something really exciting about villains, they have beautiful girls around them every time, have lots of money and all the luxuries,” said Ranbir Kapoor.
“Villains have the best life. I really want to play a bad guy. But the only thing is they have to get beaten up by the hero in the end…but then it is ok,” he elaborated.
While the young heartthrob of Indian film industry is potent enough to accept any challenging role and deliver it perfectly, but his charming personality and lover-boy image can prove to be a hurdle.
At present when several high profile bollywood celebs like Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are doing remakes, the 30-year-old actor is not keen on walking on the same path. He rather believes in doing something revolutionary, instead of the one which’s already been done.
