Rainy Day? Practice Some Knots!

By Sailingguide

The weather in the Northeast has been lousy for sailing for days and days, and lots of sailors are getting antsy or worse. It can be particularly frustrating, when cruising, to be stuck in a harbor waiting for better weather to continue or move on - especially when you have kids on board. Need a diversion? Why not learn or practice some sailing knots? With younger kids you can make it a game, with prizes for the best speed or the most knots learned in an hour. It's great when something fun serves a practical function too!
