Rainbow Honey - Swatches & Review

By Marijonails @marijonails
Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!!
I hope it's much warmer where you are.  NYC has been in the single digits since Tuesday and with the wind chill it feels like it's in the negatives.  I'm so over this weather!! I need summer ASAP!  Okay, enough whining.  Let's see some Rainbow Honey beauties!
The Sweet Talk collection will be back later this month!!  It was first released last year in January and had polishes that were perfect for Valentine's Day.    Here are two polishes from the collection.
Be Mine

Artificial Light (Light Box)

Be Mine is a pink creme with gold flakies.  It's so pretty!!!  The formula is pretty good too.  It's slightly streaky, but it levels out nicely after a couple of coats.  Here I used three coats with no base or top coat.  I just love the flakies in this polish!

XOXO has a clear base with red hex glitter and gold and holo microglitter.  I decided to layer it over Be Mine and they make a really pretty combo.  I only used one coat in these swatches, and as you can see, there was great coverage.
You can see some other layering combos of XOXO and another polish from the collection in this post.   Rumor has it, there will be three new polishes as a part of the collection.
I also have two of Rainbow Honey's top glitters from 2013!

Summer Blossom was a Limited Edition polish for the month of July, but it's still available.  It contains orange, white and yellow blossom shaped glitters with iridescent and holographic microglitters in a clear base.  I decided to layer it over Essie Meet Me At Sunset.  It's such a fun summery look.
The Kraken

The Kraken is from the Summer of 199X collection.  It's a marine jelly packed with glitter and shimmer.  It has a really good formula and is opaque in two coats.  I used no base or top coat in these swatches.
Finally, I have polish will be released in mid-March as a part of Rainbow Honey's upcoming Midnight Garden Spring Collection.

Papillon contains butterfly shaped rose pink glitters and purple and holographic small glitters in a clear base.  It's really cute and spring like.  It applies really well and I had no trouble getting the larger glitters out.  Here, I layered one coat over Be Mine.
I always love Rainbow Honey's fun glitters and these don't disappoint.  XOXO has been a favorite of mine since I tried it last year.  I also really love Be Mine and The Kraken.  I'm looking forward to seeing the entire Spring collection.  By the looks of Papillon, it's going to be a good one.
