Quotes of God Jesus

Posted on the 24 March 2014 by Savio Menezes

Here are some quotes of Jesus Christ. Following verses were taken from New Heart English Bible (NHEB)
“I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing!’ shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of hell.” Matthew 5:22
"I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Matthew 5:28
"I tell you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Neither shall you swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’” Matthew 5:34-37
“When you do merciful deeds, do not let your left hand know what your right hand does.” Matthew 6:3
“When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:5-6
“Moreover when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6: 16-18
“Do not judge, so that you won’t be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you” Matthew 7:1-2
“Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” Matthew 7:6
“Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.” Matthew 7:7
“For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.” Mark 4:22
“If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”Mark 9:35
“Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; it will be done for him.” Mark 11:22-23
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say? Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But he who hears, and does not do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:46-49
“Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For look, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’” Luke 23:28-29
“If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”John 8:31-32
