Quick Fix for a Hangover

So you met your friends for dinner the previous night. You planned to have only one drink, but landed up getting totally drunk. It’s all fun while it lasts.Just wait until you wake up the next morning with a splitting headache and a squirmy stomach that throws up all that you feed the stomach.After every hangover that we go through, we swear to never drink again. We’ve all have been there and done that.

Here are some quick fixes that will help your body recover:

  • Water – Fill up on liquids. Alcohol dries up the water present in the body, so don’t forget to hydrate yourself with lots of water and juices.
  • Pain Killer – Try popping a painkiller like ibuprofen after a morning meal, so as not to disturb your already messed up stomach.
  • Sleep – There is nothing that works better than the good old fashioned cure ‘sleep on it’.
  • Sauna or exercise – If you can manage it, try out a light workout, else you sweat it out in the sauna, which will help get rid your body of the harmful toxins from the alcohol. Remember to hydrate well; else this fix could land up causing more harm than gain.
  • Hangover pill – There are a lot of miracle cures available over the counter to deal with a hangover. They work only in some cases.
  • Alka-Seltzer – A fizzy medicine used to treat hangovers for decades is found effective as the baking soda in the cure is said settle the queasy belly.

There is no sure fixed way to cure a hangover.  But those mentioned above can help alleviate the suffering. Only time is the sure and tested answer to our problem
