1. Give our reader’s a little self- description?
My name is Matty J. I play bass. I enjoy long walks on the beach, those little safety pictures of faceless dummies getting hurt, and METAL! Alex~Drummer, crazy bird sounds, Joshy~Guitarist, Ninja, ENGINEEER!, Rawrb! Vocalist, Beef Injector, webmashter
2.PSYCHOSTICK, what exactly does that mean?
Psychostick means you’re gonna bang your head with a big goofy smile on your face! Its ok! It’s not illegal to smile to metal!
3.’Humorcore’ how would you describe that to some of our reader’s?
It’s a flavorful blend of head-banging heavy metal with flame-broiled jokes, laughs, and choreography. We’ll crack you up then melt your face like the arc of the covenant!
4.If you could kick any artist off the charts right now and take their
current spot who would it be?
Carly Rae Jepsen but I think her time is up. Call it maybe?
5.Was there a particular reason all of you decided to form PSYCHOSTICK?
I’m pretty sure Rawrb and Joshy started the band to avoid having desk jobs! I didn’t think anyone needed a reason to metal!
6.Where do you come up with your tongue-in-cheek slapstick Lyric’s?
LIFE!!! Most metal songs are about either love, death or both but everyone likes and dislikes different things. We can sing about things we like (beer, boobs, tacos and the internet) and about the things we loathe (minimum wage jobs, clingy girlfriends, dentists and farting in enclosed spaces). Most of our songs are inspired by laughing at stuff in real life.
7.Favorite junk food while on tour?
We try not eat too much junk on the road but the favorite would have to be Joshy’s little pastry snack cakes from various gas stations and truck stops. I swear sometimes he goes shopping JUST FOR THOSE! This dude is pastry-fueled!
