The Modern Day Cinderella with a Pair of Pumps
I know, neither you or me is Cinderella but like her, a pair of shoe can change your life, your fashion and shoe life at least. I’m not a fan of fairytale but the modern women you and me who unlike Cinderella wouldn’t run when the clock ticks 12 is caught in a mesmerizing world of magical colors and heights of glossy, studded, plain, floral, bare and covered feet coverings. When I say this, I am talking about shoes and when I say shoes, I mean pumps.
I always fancy wearing pumps. I bet you do too. There’s something about it that made me feel like a royalty. I saw a lot of women towering tall and celebrities who look undeniably stunning and poised in pumps. So, does it make pumps, the modern day Cinderella shoe?
Pumps seem to make women look taller than they actually are. They can make you look leaner too and smarter at that! But does pumps really make you feel like the skinny, gorgeous model in the catwalk or would only make you feel like a trying hard giant in a cosmetic artificial long legs attached to your femur?
Who Can Wear Pumps?
Pumps, I’m afraid is not like any ordinary shoes that anyone can wear. Unlike flats, boots, sneakers, sandals and platform wedges, pumps need an attitude. What I mean is, you can’t just walk in there in a pair of pumps and stump your feet like an ogre. It needs finesse. It needs a touch of sophistication and a little dash of class. The good thing is, you can always learn how to handle it. A little practice perhaps can perfect your poise.
The nature of your work does influence your choice of shoes. Some shoes can kill you in few minutes and would only serve its use in Instagram. They are better housed in cardboard boxes in the shoe closet than caused your poor feet to bleed like a knight. If your lifestyle demands a lot of standing and running here and there, would you brave to wear pumps? Of course not! But if you spend your whole day in a reclining seat in front of desktop or lappy and a bundle of papers, chances are you’re gonna depend the day sitting and wearing pumps might be practical for you.
Another good thing about wearing pumps is its flexibility. You can wear it with almost anything. The opportunities are endless coz it would look nice with any outfit, whether formal, rugged or casual.
Choose your Pumps
Pumps come in different shapes, size, style and price. From suede, velvet, leather, silky finish, studded and beaded, name it, it’s available. Small and big time shoe manufacturers used different materials and branding to stand against each other. The designs can go crazy from the conventional type to odd and strange style. The price tag of designer pumps can drive you crazy and will empty your pocket for a decade.
If you want to wear pumps and your budget is tight, look for cheaper versions which would actually give you the same feel and elegance minus the damage it will cause to your credit or debit cards.
Both of these pumps are floral-inspired and look equally gorgeous but look at the price! You always have the option when it comes to choices. You got the budget? Go for high-end then!
These beige pumps would be perfect though the price might pull you back. Opt for the cheaper one when you are running out of budget but badly needing a pair of pumps.
