A newly-elected MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Farid Khan was shot dead by unidentified men in Hangu on Monday.
According to police, the incident occurred near Muhallah Sankair where the unknown armed men opened fire on his vehicle. Resultantly Farid Khan and his driver were killed on spot while his brother sustained severe wounds.
Farid Khan had won PK-42 seat from Hangu as an independent candidate and later joined PTI.
