PTI Manifesto for Election 2013 Unveiled

PTI manifestoPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday unveiled its manifesto for the forth coming general elections. Internal security is on the top of agenda in party’s manifesto, which has also promises justice for all.

PTI manifesto pledges a sovereign foreign policy based on friendly relations with all countries, including United States and India. The party also promised to wipe out corruption within 90 days and load shedding within three years after coming into the power.

The manifesto also commits to take Pakistan out of US-led war on terror and constitute a National Counter-Terrorism Authority. The manifesto also pledged to rationalize of defense sector budget, stating it will be presented and argued in the parliament.

PTI manifesto also promised to hold local body elections and transfer power to the grass root level. The manifesto also outlined that the railway ministry will be abolished and the governmental interference in the public sector institutions will be weeded out. It also promised to depoliticize police and beuorocracy.

Regarding Karachi unrest issue, the PTI manifesto stated that they would start a movement against any political party who has armed wings.

The party manifesto also promises finish states-quo and make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state in the light of teachings of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Mohammad Iqbal.

Speaking at this occasion PTI chief Imran Khan said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) have destroyed the country and they cannot resolve its problem even within 90 years.

Some salient features of PTI manifesto are:

1. To let Pakistan out of the US-led war on terror

2. To ensure a single system of education for all citizens and introduction of regulations to make sure that the fees structure of private schools is equal to the quality of education they provide

3. To extract all indemnities, privileges and reimbursements or subventions extended to elected representatives and government officials.

4. To announce a schedule for local body election within the first 100 days of formulation of government

5. To establish a special programme that will allow the citizens to report nasty behavior by an individuals or entities.

6. To create employment in rural areas and establish a Technical Certification Institute.

7. To free primary healthcare for the poor and elderly.

8. To devolve all the governance in cities and towns to municipality.

9. To exploit natural resources for the country’s development.

10. To sort out terror-related issues on table rather than using military.

11. To capitalize Pakistan’s strategic location to bolster the nation and make Pakistan an energy corridor.

12. To revolutionary steps in Agriculture sector and introduce 15% agriculture tax on land beyond 50 acres.

13. To introduce a modern system of public transport, railways and seaports throughout he country.
