Hello! I’m back with another product review. It’s for the brand new Dragon Fruit Lip Butter from The Body Shop
▪ Fresh and sweet Dragon Fruit scent
▪ Light texture
▪ Moisturising
▪ A percentage of the price is donated to charity – hooray for conscious lip butters!
▪ $10 is just a little bit steep for a 10mL 0.31 oz (8.9g) product. But it’s not a deal breaker because part of it is donated
▪ Leaves a light white cast on your lips (reminds me of sunscreen, but not that apparent).
This currently my new favorite lip balm/butter, like I need to be obsessed with more lip balm than I already do!
It does everything it says it does and feels amazing on the lips; it’s hydrating, soft and absorbs into the lips instead of sliding on the surface til you either eat it off you rub it off. It’s not sticky or too thick. I can’t rave about it enough.
A few things that I’m not a fan of, but is bound to happen with lip balm is that you obviously taste it. Having said that though, it doesn’t taste gross. That is, if you don’t mind the taste of Dragon Fruit.
Secondly, it doesn’t work well overnight. While he does moisturise well, when you wake up in the morning that white film it has is still present on the lips and bundles up in the corners of your mouth so it looks like their either very thirsty or sick.
Lastly, the packaging could do with some work. I mean, the packaging itself doesn’t actually state that it’s Dragon Fruit Lip Butter, it just has The Body Shop Foundation and the word “Lip Butter” on it. Not a massive deal though.
Bottom line… worth a buy.
