Here's a preview of this beautiful new customized lace dress from online e-tailer (and e-tailor!) eShakti. I immediately gravitated towards this festive, romantic number; It's classic, but feels super current thanks Lagerfeld's latest Austria-inspired collection and similar silhouettes from Valentino for the past couple seasons.
I was able to customize the neckline, sleeves, and hem length, plus I added in my size and height for an even more optimized fit.
I loved the hem length and sleeves in the original design, but I do have an affinity for a V-neckline, so that was a no-brainer for me! Here's what my order looked like:

It arrived within about a week (it can take up to 18 days for some orders) and fit like a glove! I styled it with tough leather accents like a harness belt from BCBG and over-the-knee boots from Charles David to cut some of the sweetness and make it truly my own.
eShakti's business model is very interesting and quite unique. According to their site, each piece is more or less made to order, which is why clients are asked for their size and height with each purchase, even if they are not customizing. That means they don't stash away stock in a warehouse, which I imagine eliminates wasteful production. Here's a statement from eShakti:

They also have a pretty thorough statement about how they ensure fair and safe working conditions in their factories, which was especially crucial for conscientious shoppers after the region received attention earlier this year.
Most pieces are under $100 (there's a pretty great sale running right now, to boot!) and they offer sizes 0 to 36.
