Young students need to practice mixing
secondary colors, but I just can’t get too excited over making color
wheels on paper plates. Instead I had them focus on just mixing purple
(plus a little white) in honor of Valentine’s Day.
1. My letter size template of printed hearts may be download HERE.
2.
Students used a paper plate of red, blue and white
tempera paint to mix as many different shades of red, blue, and purple as they could. The hearts were then painted as desired with a small brush.
