In recent fashion news, pregnant Adriana Lima posed for the 2013 Pirelli Calendar—while pregnant. The veteran of the Pirelli Calendar, an annual publication featuring the world’s top models in various states of undress, posed fertile and fearlessly in the nude for the 2013 calendar.
Vanity Fair Italia featured a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the Calendar shoot, featuring other familiar faces including Petra Nemcova, Liya Kebede, and Isabeli Fontanta, to name a few.
Adriana has become the first pregnant woman to be photographed for the Pirelli Calendar. This has become common amongst American celebrities, something ordinary versus taboo, but in what is commonly referred to as the ‘sexiest annual photo shoot in the world,’ it is not yet considered mainstream activity.
Lima is already a mother to two-year-old Valentina and did not pose nude during her first pregnancy. Her visible baby bump in the 2013 Pirelli Calendar is making history in the modeling world as word has only been out for mere weeks. The calendar is set to go on sale in December, just in time for the holiday season.
