Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has nominated party chief Nawaz Sharif for the post of prime minister.
According to sources, the formal approval of the decision will be given in party’s parliamentary meeting, which will be held on Tuesday prior to first meeting of National Assembly.
On the other hand, PML-N has gained the simple majority National Assembly after the inclusion of independent candidates.
PML-N won 126 NA seats in the May 11 general elections, and following the inclusion of 18 independent candidates, their strength in the lower house of parliament has been propelled to 144 seats.
