When I received the opportunity to have my princess try out a fitness & learning program, I was excited!
Playful Planet’s Storyland Yoga DVD $14.99
Storyland Yoga combines the benefits of yoga with storytelling, while delivering an eco-concious message to your child(ren).
The stories Condor Trek {23:10} & Save the Whale {18:30} help kids learn yoga postures through animal imitation & storytelling.
Recommended Uses in Children 3 to 8 years of Age:
- Regular yoga “class.”
- Play Date activity.
- Rain Day activity.
- Yoga Party.

While I’m not a “yoga fanatic”, I’ll try anything to burn off some of K’s energy while teaching her something!
I invited her cousin who is 6 weeks older over for a play date with the hopes that they would enjoy Storyland Yoga.
We started out with Save the Whale because it was the shorter of the two episodes at 18:30 minutes.

While they only lasted about 12 of the 18:30 minutes, they LOVED it!
I was so surprised at how well they responded to the story & the movements!
K has asked for Storyland Yoga at least once a day since then. She says, “Mommy, I want to exercise!” so I change up the episode each time. Sometimes she lasts through to half, but most of the time she only lasts about 8 minutes or so. 8 minutes of focus & no mess making?! I’ll take it!
