Posted on the 04 July 2018 by Radzkid

Most of times it’s good to explore back the past and seeing how the past is depicted through movies. Seeing how people praise their king, exploring new land, fighting each other, and making peace agreement. Good movies can always satisfy your fantasy about the time that you have never seen.

To celebrate the 4th of July, here I write my favorite American movies. The List is the place where i write about the list of my favorite movies according to a certain theme. This time the theme is “Modern Movies That Define Classic USA”. Listed below may not contain critically best movies, because i pick them according to my personal taste.

The Revenant (2015)

The Revenant
The Revenant

The Revenant is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. It tells the story about Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) who struggles to avenge for his death son.

The movie is rich with sound effect and offers a beautiful visual adventure through its cinematography and that make the movie more thrilling and hardcore without any made up dramatization. The Revenant is a great combination of revenge and beautiful scenery.

Directed by : Alejandro J. Inarritu
Casts   : Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Domnhall Gleeson

Tarantino’s Django Unchained is a movie that burst with pleasure. It tells a story about the adventure of Django (Jamie Foxx) and Dr. King Schultz (Cristoph Waltz) in finding Django’s wife that was lost due to slave trade long ago.

Just like The Revenant, Django Unchained is also filled with beautiful cinematography from the period design to the incredible classic costume from the era of cowboy. Every offensive moment and every dialog never feel flat, everything is purposeful.

Directed by : Quentin Tarantino
Casts    : Leonardo DiCaprio, Cristoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx

The Immigrant is a flawlessly articulated movie about surviving to achieve the American Dream. The movie tells a story about two sisters who sail to the USA to find their American Dream but get separated when they reach Ellis Island.

The Immigrant is like a perfect picture about finding American Dream in the era of pre-World War II. The movie is so daring with its elements; it is serious, impassioned, and also adult. The story is well crafted and the visual also is simply beautiful

Directed by : James Gray
Casts   : Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix, Jeremy Renner
