Back in the day–the good old vintage days–these lovely ladies were quite popular in the world of gift-giving. They are “head vases”. These were very popular in the 50s-70s, used by florists. INSIDE they would contain a plant or a flower arrangement that would be blooming from the top of the “head”. They are very collectible today. For more information about them, please visit, “Ladies of the House” blog.
I found this collection a couple of weeks ago while antiquing with my husband.
Don’t you wonder who comes up with these ideas in the first place?
