Photo Editing Apps That i Use Every Single Day

I had some interest in photography, thanks to the work I do, and learn't some basic skills from my brother and sister who holds a degree in mass communication, but I had zero knowledge of how the world of photo-editing worked. When I started as a blogger five years ago, there weren't as many tools or apps as today that I could use for editing my photos. Using the filters on Instagram and photoshop were the only two photo-editing resort you could adhere to as an amateur. While photoshop still required some learning curve, Instagram filters were easy and user-friendly. I would apply them to my photos and just publish, without going into any detailed editing. Occasionally, I would use pic-monkey for editing photos for the blog, but I parted ways when they turned into a paid subscription. 
Fast forward five years later, photo-editing has become a huge industry and bloggers and influencers are spending hundreds of dollars getting their photos professionally touched. Having a cohesive looking, well-curated feed is the new trend and everyone is going cray cray with photo-editing. I agree that it is time-saving and the results are amazing, but why spend your precious dollars when there are gazillion apps that have preset features that you can apply to your photos, tweak it up a little and have the same look as a professionally edited photo. 
I have over the past year spent a lot of time testing out different photo-editing apps and their features. It has been kind of fun and a little overwhelming, blame it on the myriad options out there, but I am now at a happy place with a few of my favorites that I use pretty much every single day. 
1) ColorStory 
This app is available for both Apple and Android. Otherwise free for the basic presets, you could buy the premium ones for a small fee or for $25 buy the entire ACS+ package. There are close to a 100 presets to choose from. In addition to the presets, you can tune the images, add special effects and create a photo grid which is a duplicate of your IG feed- more like a preview of how your feed would look like. I use this app to apply the presets and my favorite is UDO from Lost Stories. I should be using this app for tuning my images, but I am pretty loyal to the Lightroom app coming up next.

2) Lightroom 
This is an extension of your adobe photoshop. I have both Lightroom CC and Photoshop express downloaded on my phone. After I apply the filter on ColorStory, my photos are exported to Lightroom where I tune the image. What I like about this app is that I can overlap different presets. Not all the apps give you the liberty to overlap presets but this is an exception. I have the app on my phone and on my mac book as well. I even created some presets of my own, which actually was easier than I thought. This app is not free, I have the month-to-month subscription, meaning I pay $9.99 every month for this subscription and it is totally worth it!
3) Snap Seed
Available both on apple and android, if you are good at fine tuning your images, this one is for you and free. There are so many editing features like presets, white balance, healing, tonal contrast, drama , vintage and so on so forth. Other tools include filters for head poses, portraits, lens blur, double exposure, and text. I haven't gotten to using this to the fullest, blame it on my impatience, but the results are bomb from what I have seen on other bloggers. 
4) Enlight Pixaloop 
Ever wondered how the bloggers do that partial motion/animation on their pictures, where if it is a nature image- the cloud or the water is moving and the rest is still?? No, I am not talking about boomerang, I am talking about Enligh Pixaloop that lets you add animation to a desired part of your photo. This app is free, available on apple and android and is easy to use. There are several in-app tutorials that will make the adding animation process a breeze. 
5) Canva 
This is more like a photo enhancer. I use this app mostly for my stories to create fun photo collages and add overlays. There are several templates available for all your work projects starting from logo deigning, to stories, to IG main posts, to Facebook page banner, flyer, poster and everything in between. Most of it is free but the PRO access to templates could involve a small fee. The cover photo from this post was made on Canva. There was template, I juts changed the photo and text and voila! 
6) Touch Retouch 
You take amazing pictures by the beach, and while editing you realize the presence of those multiple photo bombers who unintentionally invaded your photo frame zone?? It can be annoying and frustrating coz these unwanted objects can ruin a good photo. Until now I was removing all these unwanted bodies and objects using the photoshop express blemish remove feature, but not any more. With touch retouch app I can now remove these unwanted objects with a click of a button. This one has to be my favorite of all the apps I use. Available on Apple iOS and Android, it is a total game-changer and is free.
These are just some of the many photo-editing apps I use on a daily basis. There are more, but because I don't use them as often, I decided to skip talking about them. Also, I didn't want to bombard you with too much information. That is why my video-editing app list is coming up soon as a different post.
